Butch Harmon Golf School Improves Playing Odds
By Dave Kettner

When Butch Harmon ended his PGA tour playing days in 1971, he turned his attention to teaching other golfers some of the finer points of the game. He was introduced to golf by his father Claude Harmon, a 1948 Masters champion and he carries the lessons from his father to the students attending his Butch Harmon golf school today. His extensive experience as a professional tour golfer and teaching pro, as well as broadcast analyst for many major events, make him uniquely qualified to offer even some of the best golfers tips to lower their scores.

He has hand-picked the instructors at the Butch Harmon golf school and taught them his methods of golf and teaching, insuring that regardless of the teaching professional a student is working with, they receive the same level of instruction. Some of today’s touring professionals still visit the Butch Harmon golf school in Las Vegas, Nevada when they feel a need to work out a few issues with their game.

The Butch Harmon golf school is not a single-focus facility as the beautiful 18-hole course is used to first analyze the student’s ability and determine the appropriate needs of each individual. The Butch Harmon golf school instructors also realize that each person swings the club differently and

the instructional need, inspired by the initial analysis is tailored to meet the individual’s needs.

Not Willing to Gamble with Success

While there may be plenty of opportunities at the end of the day, there are no chances taken during lessons at the Butch Harmon golf school. Whether a one, two or three-day session every person receives individualized instruction to meet the needs of their personal style. From driving off the tee, on the fairway or putting, each person approaches each shot from a different perspective. The main ingredient is to find a swing that works for each participant and teach him or her how to be consistent.

From the relatively new golfer to current and upcoming pros, learning to play an individualized game at the Butch Harmon golf school will help all golfers at all levels improve their chances of lowering their score. The same philosophy works with golfers such as Tiger Woods on the PGA and the LPGA’s newest rising star, Natalie Gulbis.

Being able to take advantage of the tips and instruction at the Butch Harmon golf school in Las Vegas will put a player’s game on a higher level. Learning from some of the best-taught instructors is something every would-be great golfer can strive to achieve.
